Things that make you feel good

To focus on the positive I thought I’d begin to compile a list of things that make you feel good:

  • The sweet, earthy smell of a forest
  • Having nothing to do
  • Eating hot, buttered toast (must be cheap, white bread)
  • Sitting on a train and not having to be anywhere
  • Catching a whiff of bonfire (wood-smoke) as you drive through the countryside
  • Rain spattering a window
  • Stepping out of a gale into a rock cleft (the vacuum and no sound)

About richlakin

I'm married with two young boys and living in Staffordshire. If I'm not working you can find me day dreaming or holding high-brow literature in front of my face. Or eating Arctic Roll.
