Cross country pain…

My short story ‘Trials’ is all about the suffering of a games teacher who never quite made the grade as an athlete.

It was inspired by memories of cold, wet cross country runs, scratchy nylon kit and learning to lose without disgrace – all very British.

Platform for Prose has kindly published it here. (Sign in to read).

I'm married with two young boys and living in Staffordshire. If I'm not working you can find me day dreaming or holding high-brow literature in front of my face. Or eating Arctic Roll.
